Cinderella Spinderella

About the Book

When Mark Binder performs Cinderella Spinderella for a culturally mixed audience he encourages the listener to picture himself or herself as the heroine or hero. The ebook enhances the story in a very simple way. Readers choose what Cinderella and the Prince look like. At the same time, it is very firmly a "book" and not an app. Cinderella Spinderella offers 25 combinations with over 300 illustrations, so that every youngster can see herself or himself reflected in the story. This Cinderella powerfully chooses her identity! Plus the story and pictures are great – worthy on their own merits!

cinderella_coverCinderella Spinderella has these strengths and qualifications:

  • An excellent story and amazing illustrations
  • Five Cinderellas and Five Princes (and five seasons), which means 25 different variations
  • Broad appeal to many ethnic groups, allowing readers of any kind to see themselves in the book
  • A lesson of inclusiveness that is subtle but profound

As Marshal McLuhan suggested, “The medium is the message”, and it’s a fun message! Cinderella Spinderella is an illustrated e-book, rather than just a picture book, which means that it is fully compatible with all e-book readers, including old black and white Kindles. It is designed to be accessible for all people at any font size. Cinderella Spinderella extends and expands the myth using story, illustrations and technology, so for any reader/family the story is personal. Note, submitted as an iBook, the book is available on all current e-book readers, including greyscale.
